This Finger Parquet floor, featuring the exceptional Australian Tallowwood, had become dull and weathered. Because of the small, repetitive slats that make up "finger" parquet, any unevenness or wear is magnified. The challenge was to restore the intricate mosaic pattern while respecting the natural oils and hardness that make Tallowwood such a premium, yet demanding, timber to work with.
